What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Usage and device data (such as pages viewed and general location), collected through analytics and advertising cookies — only if you accept them. See our Cookie Policy.
- Technical and traffic data — each time a page loads, our server automatically records your IP address, approximate location (country and city) and the browser and device you use. This is collected on every visit, whether or not you accept cookies.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- Waitlist email — we use it for one thing only: to let you know when we launch. We will not use it for anything else. Legal basis: your consent.
- Analytics and advertising — to understand and improve the site and measure our marketing. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
- Technical and traffic data — to measure how much of our traffic is genuine and to detect and prevent automated or fraudulent activity, such as bots and click fraud. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting this site and understanding our real audience. You can object at any time by emailing us.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address for a maximum of 90 days, then delete it. We'll delete it sooner if you unsubscribe, or if we decide not to launch — and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
We keep technical and traffic data, including IP addresses, for a maximum of 90 days, then delete it.
Where your data is stored, and who processes it
Your email and technical/traffic data are stored in a database hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). We use these providers to run the site on our behalf:
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Neon — database (EU region).
If you accept analytics or advertising cookies, these third parties also receive data: Google (Google Analytics), Statsig (product analytics) and Meta (advertising pixel). They act as independent controllers under their own policies, and may process data outside the UK/EU under safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. If you decline these cookies, they receive nothing.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@heavyweight.agency.
